HUNGER FOR THE WILD
Series One

7 x half-hour television series for TV One 2006

Steve Logan and Al Brown trade the comfort of their fine dining restaurant for life on the road as they head for the hills, hook up with some great Kiwi characters and chase down some of New Zealand's finest and freshest food - bringing us dishes of wild game and seasonal delicacies.

Steve and Al share a love for fishing, hunting and the great outdoors. They also run one of the country's most successful up-market restaurants, Logan Brown in downtown Wellington.

The seven-part series takes Al and Steve to some far-flung and spectacular corners of the country, where they hook up with local identities who share their stories, their history, and in many cases their favourite fishing and hunting spots.

Whether it be snatch-potting for crayfish on the edge of a 50-foot cliff on the wild West Coast, hunting for rabbits with a 77-year-old High Country rabbiter, or winding their way into the remote reaches of the Whanganui River - Logan and Brown meet many wonderful people who help them gather the ingredients for a meal that could only be produced in one country and celebrates the very best of it.
